This device uses ultraviolet light to attract flying insects toward a high voltage grid. The bulb emits light at 365 nanometers, which draws moths, gnats, fruit flies, and mosquitoes closer. When insects contact the steel grid, the electrical system is designed for flying insect control inside the unit.
The grid operates at 3500 to 3800 volts and covers up to 500 square feet. The unit measures 5.7 by 13.8 inches and runs on a 13 watt bulb. It includes a 3.5 foot power cable with a standard plug.
The galvanized steel grid surrounds the ultraviolet bulb and traps dead insects in a removable storage box. You can hang it from a hook or stand it on flat surfaces. The twist off box makes cleanup quick, and you can go weeks between emptying it.
